General Information for All Applicants
Hays County announces vacant positions as they become available.
Applications are only accepted for positions currently posted.
An application is required for each position for which you are applying. Applicants may make copies of the application and enter different position titles, but each copy must have an original signature and job posting number.
Stand-alone resumes will not be considered in lieu of the completed application form; however, a resume may be attached to your application if you wish.
A completed County application form must be submitted on or before the posted deadline in order to be considered.
Position announcements may be closed or extended at any time during the advertisement period at the discretion of Hays County.
All jobs are full-time unless otherwise noted.
Job applications are maintained by the Human Resources Department for a period of 90 days.
Selected applicants in elected official offices serve at the pleasure of the current elected official.
